George William Coventry, 9th Earl of Coventry, PC (9 May 183813 March 1930) married Lady Blanche Craven, a daughter of the 2nd Earl of Craven on 25 January 1865 and they had nine children:

  • George William, Viscount Deerhurst (1865-1928), soldier.
  • Hon. Charles John (1867-1929), soldier and cricketer.
  • Hon. Henry Thomas (1868-1934)
  • Hon. Reginald William (1869-1940), barrister.
  • Lady Barbara Elizabeth (1870-1946)
  • Lady Dorothy (1872-1965)
  • Lady Anne Blanche Alice (1874-1956)
  • Hon. William Francis (1875-1937)
  • Hon. Thomas George (1885-1972), soldier.

His racing colours were brown with blue cap and were carried to victory in consecutive Grand Nationals by the half sisters Emblem 1863 & Emblematic 1864
