George Clements

George Clements is an American Roman Catholic priest who made history in 1981 by becoming the first priest to adopt a child (see: http://www.thehistorymakers.com/biography/biography.asp?bioindex=499&category=religionMakers&name=Father%20George+Clements )The Father Clements Story was produced as a film by NBC starring actor Lou Gossett Jr. Father Clements was at one time the pastor of Holy Angels Elementary School, a historically African-American Roman Catholic elementary school on the South side of Chicago.
