George Bulman was a fictional detective who appeared in three British TV series.

• The XYY Man (1976-1977) 13 episodes
• Strangers (1978-1982) 32 episodes
• Bulman (1985-1987) 20 episodes

Played by Don Henderson viewers first saw DS Bulman in The XYY Man; Strangers saw him rise though the ranks to become a DCI and by the time of the third series he had left the police and was trying to make a living as an horologist – a case of trying to make a hobby into a career.

His trademark eccentricity was characterised by gold-rimmed spectacles and fingerless gloves.
