George Bell (Australian politician)

The honorable George John Bell (November 29, 1872March 5, 1944) was an Australian politician.

Born in Sale, Victoria, Australia, he represented the Division of Darwin in the Australian House of Representatives from 1919-22 and 1925-43 initially with the Nationalist Party of Australia and later for the United Australia Party. Bell served as Speaker of the House from October 23, 1934 to November 19, 1940.

Bell died from cardiovascular disease at the age of 72.
