George Banta

George Banta (1857-1935) was a Phi Delta Theta(ФΔΘ) attending Franklin-Indiana College graduating in 1876, and serving as ФΔΘ national historian. Banta is also recognized as one of two "Second Founders" of the fraternity along with Walter B. Palmer.He founded the George Banta Printing Company in 1901 in Menasha, Wisconsin. He is the only man ever initiated into Delta Gamma sorority.
