Geoffrey Lawler
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Geoffrey John Lawler (born 30 October 1954) is a Conservative Party politician in the United Kingdom.
In the Conservative landslide election victory of 1983, Lawler was elected as Member of Parliament (MP) for Bradford North. This was considered a surprise result in a normally safe Labour seat, but it was caused by a split in the opposition vote.
However, in the 1987 election, the seat reverted to its usual status and Lawler lost to Labour candidate Pat Wall, on his second attempt.
