Geoffrey Bridgeman

Brigadier Geoffrey John Orlando Bridgeman, MC, (3 July 189815 October 1974) was a British soldier.

The second son of the 1st Viscount Bridgeman and Caroline Beatrix Parker, and younger brother of the 2nd Viscount, was educated in Eton College, Berkshire. Bridgeman graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge with a Bachelor of Arts in 1920 and a Master of Arts in 1926. He received further a Bachelor of Medicine, and a Bachelor in Surgery in 1928. He worked as consultant and ophthalmic surgeon in St George's Hospital.

Bridgeman fought in the First World War, reaching the rank of Lieutenant. He served in the Royal Field Artillery and was decorated with the Military Cross in 1918. During the Second World War, he served in the Royal Army Medical Corps, and gained the rank of Brigadier.

On 3 July 1929, he married Mary Meriel Gertrude Talbot, daughter of Sir George John Talbot. They had three children:
