Geoffrey Edward Blum (born April 26, 1973 in Redwood City, California) is an infielder for the San Diego Padres. He began his professional career when he was selected in the 7th round of the 1994 amateur draft by the Montreal Expos. After playing there for three years, he went to the Houston Astros, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and the San Diego Padres before the White Sox picked him up in mid-2005. On October 26, 2005, Blum hit a home run in the top of the 14th inning to win Game 3 of the World Series, the longest game in the history of the Fall Classic. He has returned to the Padres as a free agent.
