User:Geniac

Hi.
I'm Geniac. Not a Geniac; I am a human being. "Geniac" has been my online name for about... ummm... 12 years or so. If I were a collection of 50-year-old hardwood and jumpers, it would be pretty tricky for me to edit Wikipedia. I wouldn't even have opposable thumbs.
To leave me a message, please use my talk page. Thanks.

- Insert text
- Link title
- Headline text
- Bold text
- New Page
- Insert formula here

[edit] User talk pages
I use the following templates and snippets quite often on user talk pages. I have found that it is helpful to keep the following snippets of code in a text file, ready to copy-paste where needed.
==Welcome!== --~~~~ --~~~~ ==Preview== --~~~~ ==Edit summary== --~~~~ --~~~~
For accepting/declining submissions to Articles for creation, please use the templates. Thanks. --~~~~
Please remember that you sign your posts on talk pages, but never in articles. Thank you and happy editing! --~~~~
Regarding user talk pages, it is best to not delete notices, but instead, to archive them. You will find how to do this at Wikipedia:How to archive a talk page. Actively erasing non-harassing personal messages is often interpreted as hostile. In the past, this kind of behavior has been viewed as uncivil. For this reason, if your deletion of notices and concerns on your user talk page is to keep the "clutter" down, I suggest that you instead create archives for these messages. --~~~~
I have removed what appears to be chat messages from your talk page because Wikipedia is not a social networking site. Thank you. --~~~~
It is the links to standalone years that should be delinked. Any date with a month and year SHOULD be linked so that the page will display the date according to the what the user has set in their User preferences. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style (dates and numbers)#Dates containing a month and a day. --~~~~
[edit] Edit summaries
I use the following snippets quite often in edit summaries.
de-linked low added-value items per MoS:L
formatted per WP:UW
formatted per MoS:DP#Individual entries
rvv by Special:Contributions/ (talk)
reversed unhelpful edit by Special:Contributions/ (talk)
rv content rm with no ES by Special:Contributions/ (talk)
Wikipedia is not the yellow pages
formatting to reduce horizontal scrolling

[edit] Tags
I tend to use these tags in articles the most:
March 2007 March 2007 March 2007
