Image:Gen Sir R L McCreery.jpg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This photograph was taken by Frederic Robinson of Camberley. It is inferred that it dates from the inter-war years, both from the apparent age of the sitter, and from the fact that it was taken by a photographer in Camberley, where McCreery was at the Staff College from 1928-9.

The photographer, Frederic Robinson, is represented in the National Portrait Gallery’s photography collection (see http://www.npg.org.uk/live/photosr.asp)

The photograph was given by General McCreery’s widow, Lady McCreery, to her son Charles, who gives his permission for its use here.

It is considered fair use in connection with this Wikipedia article on the following grounds: - it is a historically significant photo of a famous individual - its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the article because it shows the subject of the article - it is in a private collection and the owner gives his permission for its publication here

This file has been created by Ranger2006 by scanning the original in the possession of Dr Charles McCreery.
