Gentiana Ismajli
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gentiana Ismajli, also known as Genta Ismajli, is an ethnic Albanian singer from Kosovo, a Serbian province currently under UN administration.[1] She became famous in Kosovo and other regions with Albanian-speaking populations, with the song "Kthehu" (Come Back); she then sang in a TV-show on RTK, Kosovo’s main broadcaster. She lived in the United States for a period, but relocated to Kosovo with the intention of remaining for good, and has participated in several music competitions, both in Albania and Kosovo.
Gentiana sings mostly commercial pop songs, similar to other Balkan pop. Lascivious stage movements with challenging clothes are a part of her image. Her closest competitors are Adelina Ismajli, Leonora Jakupi and Nora Istrefi.
