Genome Research is the title of a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press. The focus of the journal is on genome-wide studies in any organism, including single gene studies that are placed in a genomic context. This scope includes both experimental and computational analysis.
In 2004, the journal had an impact factor of 10.382, placing it in the top 5 most highly cited journals in the genetics area. The editorial board (as of mid-2005) is primarily composed of United States scientists at universities and research institutes, with a handful of persons from outside the US and from small companies.
The journal is available on-line with some articles available immediately in full-text to the public.
