Genoa Township is one of the eighteen townships located in Delaware County, Ohio, United States. It lies north of the city of Westerville and Blendon Township. Orange Township borders on the west, Berkshire Township to the north, and Harlem Township to the east. The Highland Lakes and Medallion areas constitute a significant portion of the largely developed southern portion of the township. The northern half of Genoa Township is still generally rural, but beginning to be developed as well. Genoa Township is one of the fastest growing areas near Columbus. The population was 4,053 in 1990, 11,293 in 2000, and estimated to be 17,544 in 2004. It is served by Big Walnut Local Schools, Olentangy Local Schools, and Westerville City Schools.
