[edit] Fictional character biography
The myopic Volodnikov spent the second world war designing top secret military codes. He has long suspected that the Tower of Babel once housed a power more terrifying than America's atomic bomb, and after the war resolved to mount an expedition to locate the device.
Volodnikov enjoys tea and piroshki, and has little sympathy for the communist party.
