Gengenbach is a town in the Ortenaukreis, Baden-Württemberg, Germany and a famous tourist destination on the western edge of the Black Forest with about 11000 inhabitants. Gengenbach is famous for its traditional swabian-alemanic Carnival (Fasend), the historical medieval Old Town (Altstadt) and the world's biggest Advent calendar (The 24 windows of the 18th century City Hall are the "doors"). In Gengenbach is a division of the University of Applied Science Offenburg.

The Twin City of Gengenbach is Obernai, (Alsace), (France)
