Geneva Cruz

Geneva (Geneve) Mendoza Cruz, who is better known by her screen name Geneva Cruz, is a Filipina singer and actress. Born on April 2, 1976 in Gagalangin, Tondo, Manila, she comes from the Cruz clan which include celebrities like Tirso Cruz III, Sunshine Cruz, Sheryl Cruz and Donna Cruz.

Cruz began her career in 1989 as one of the lead singers of the popular group Smokey Mountain. She subsequently left the group to pursue a solo career. Her first album, "I Like You", went platinum. The album produced several hit singles, including the title track and Anak ng Pasig (from the movie of the same title) in which Geneva appeared. "Anak Ng Pasig," was also chosen as Best Pop Song by the 1992 Catholic Mass Media Awards.

It has recently been revealed that she is married to MTV VJ KC Montero since January 2004 after keeping it a secret for almost three years. She has a son Heaven by her former boyfriend, musician Paco Arespacochaga.
