General James A. Van Fleet State Trail, a Florida State Park, is a 29 mile former railroad track through the Florida's Green Swamp converted into a recreational trail. It runs from Polk City, Florida through Bay Lake to Mabel, and crosses three counties (Lake, Polk and Sumter).

Among the wildlife that can be seen along the trail are egrets, herons and various raptors.

Activities include inline skating, hiking, horseback riding, biking, and viewing wildlife.
Amenities include a picnic pavilion, several picnic tables, restrooms, and drinking fountains, as well as parking at the Mabel, Bay Lake, Green Pond and Polk City Trail Heads.

Florida state parks are open between 8 A.M. and sundown every day of the year (including holidays).. There is no admission necessary to use the park.
