General Brock Elementary is made up of 3 buildings on the property. 1908 is the opening date of the oldest buildings on the site. Grades 1-8 ranged in the oldest building in 8 classrooms. Then the school was called "Mountain View" but 3 years later was named General Brock Elementary. A second wood frame building was built in 1921 to hold to accelerating school population and another edition in 1923. By 1955 a 3rd building was constructed to handle the boom of students after the end of WW2. A fire started in room 208 of the old building, It had to be completely renovated. 2 famous faces have been to General Brock, Jim Pattison and Red Robinson.

The hallway walls of the school's main buildings are covered by artistic murals that reflect the daily activities of the school's pupils.
