General Adams

General Adams is a fictional character from the First Person Shooter Play Station 2 game, Killzone. He was the Supreme Commander of the Vekta SD Platform. In the first Killzone, he is voiced by Ronny Cox.

We first see Adams in the game's intro, when the Helghast fleet starts its invasion of Vekta. He orders the Space Defense Platforms to fire at them, but a weapons malfunction is detected and the fleet passes by unhindered (presumably, Adams disarmed them himself).
In the middle of the fifth level of the game, the player finds out that he is a traitor, who cooperates with General Lente, the commander of the 3rd Helghan Army, and is planning to use the SD Platform to destroy the Earth Fleet, which is planning to help Vekta. It is unclear why he betrayed the ISA, although he obviously wants to be looked upon favorably by Scolar Visari, the leader of the Helghast. Near the end of the game he tells about "the visions Visari has shown him". He kills General Vaughton, one of the commanders of the ISA army, defending Vekta, after retrieving his key which is necessary to gain control of the SD Platform weapons. After player's team, an elite ISA squad leaded by Cpt. Jan Templar, finds out about Adams' betrayal, getting on the SD platform and stopping him becomes their main aim. Despite his efforts to kill Templar's squad and satisfy Visari, Adams always fails. He even kills one of his personal aides who tells him about the loss of multiple Helghast companies. Eventually, General Lente loses his patience and takes over this assignment, though ultimately fails as well. At the end of the game, when player manages to get to the SD Platform, Adams tell him that his death will not solve anything, and that the Helghast will never give up. After that, he is defeated.

He meets his end at the end of the game. He is crushed by falling debris from the crumbling platform that Templar and his crew managed to infiltrate. Templar and his squad manage to escape from the destroyed space object.
