Gene Ween, the pseudonym for Aaron Freeman (b. March 17, 1970, New Hope, Pennsylvania), is the guitarist and vocalist for eclectic alternative rock group Ween, alongside his longtime friend, Dean Ween.

The two met in an eighth grade typing class in 1984, in New Hope, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where they both grew up.

He married Sarah Poten in 1999, and divorced in 2003. He has one child from his marriage, and one child with his current girlfriend, Leah Ben Ari.
