Gems & Gemology is a scientific journal published quarterly by the Gemological Institute of America. Articles are geared toward the technical and scientific members of the gemological profession. The first issue was published in January, 1934.

Issues contain research articles by leading gemologists, lab reports from the GIA Laboratory, international gemology news, book reviews and summaries of important gemology articles published elsewhere.
