Geisenheim

Geisenheim is a town in the Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis district, in Hessen, Germany. It has around 12,000 inhabitants (2005). It is situated on the right bank of the Rhine, 3 km east of Rüdesheim, and 21 km west of Mainz. In this small city is situated the Forschungsanstalt Geisenheim an important research center of oenoloy and viticulture.
