Ged Walker was a Police Constable with Nottinghamshire Police who was killed in the line of duty in Bulwell, Nottingham, on 9 January 2003. PC Walker was dragged and fatally injured by a stolen taxi as he reached into the car to remove the keys from the ignition. He died two days later from his injuries. PC Walker is survived by his widow and two children.

In December 2003 convicted thief and former drug addict David Parfitt, 26, was jailed for 13 years for PC Walker's manslaughter.

In September 2005, a memorial for PC Walker was unveiled in Nottingham, close to where the murder took place. This memorial was vandalised with a hammer in January 2006, and former colleagues of Ged offered a reward to catch those responsible for the crime.
