Geauga County Park District

The Geauga Park District, one of several Ohio Metroparks, are a system of nature preserves in Geauga County that are scattered throughout the county. The network of 12 parks and reservations encompass some 12,000 acres (4,800 ha) includes hundreds of miles of walking, bicycle, and horse trails, parks, picnic areas, two nature education centers, and abundant fishing holes.

Geauga Park District was established in August, 1961
In 2006, the Geauga Park District celebrated the bicentennial of Geauga County, established March, 1806, with a special exhibit at the West Woods Nature Center called Bio-Centennial. This exhibit depicted the natural environment and the effects of human population of Geauga County in 1806, 1906 and the present.

*Frohring Meadows and Sunnybrook Preserve are not currently open to the public.
