Gears of War, is the fifth track on the Megadeth album United Abominations. The song was first played on October 31, 2006 in Six Flags New England during an event for the Xbox 360 game, Gears of War. The song is not officially associated with the game in any way, but Dave Mustaine said in an interview he was inspired after playing the game and decided to rename an already-written song.
A video of the live performance at Six Flags is available, courtesy of MTV, on the band's Myspace page. A demo of the song, along with the lyrics, was released on the band's website on November 22, 2006.
