GEAR Software is a software company headquartered in Tequesta, Florida, United States.

GEAR was one of the pioneers in the development of CD and DVD burning software, beginning in 1986 with a grant from the European Commission. The company started as Elektroson. GEAR’s software library is licensed to other software developers, and is incorporated in many products, such as Symantec Ghost, and Apple's iTunes for Windows.

GEAR's products include GEAR Video, GEAR PRO Linux, and GEAR PRO Unix.
