Yes, the "Dash-9-X99XX" type of specification is common, but this template uses the Santa Fe's style of specifying Dash-8 and Dash-9 locomotives. Basically, Santa Fe preferred to use the model designation format from the earlier -7 series, so a Dash-9-C40W is listed here as a C40-9W for brevity.
