This user account is a bot operated by Gdr (talk). It is not a sock puppet, but rather an automated or semi-automated account for making repetitive edits that would be extremely tedious to do manually. Administrators: if this bot is malfunctioning or causing harm, please block it.

I run these programs from time to time:

• solve_disambiguation.py from the Python Wikipedia Robot Framework for fixing links to disambiguation pages and redirects.
• category.py for renaming categories.
• User:Gdr/Yearbot for updating births and deaths in year articles.
• User:Gdr/Nomialbot for making redirects for names of genera and species.
