GB Hunter
The GB Hunter is one of two N64 items released by EMS Production Ltd. It is a Game Boy and Game Boy Color emulator for the Nintendo 64. A N64 game is plugged into the back of the item and a Game Boy cartridge is plugged into the top. Like the Super Game Boy it allows the player to use Game Boy and Game Boy Color games on your Tv, no sound from the original Game Boy games is Emulated. [1] Instead there is a 'GB Hunter theme' that plays continually while the Game Boy game is displayed. There is also a cheats device programmed into it, called the "Golden Finger" much like the Game Genie, or Game Shark. Holding the 'L' and 'R' buttons simultaneously will cause the game to freeze at that point and the GB Hunters' Menu to appear. Menu Options are; Return to game, Hacking Trainer/Cheat code Generator (Referred to as the 'Gold Finger Codes search tool' in the instruction booklet), Cheats, allowing the player to enter their own code or go to a second cheats menu that has codes for preloaded cheats. The Game Screen can be Maximized or minimized, from the Main menu, allowing the player to see the game full screen. The GB Hunters color pallet can also be changed from the menu, to view the game in a variety of the 3 different colors.
[edit] Criticism
Most sellers of this item, on Ebay and other places such as the EMS site itself don't mention that the video games sounds while being played on the GB Hunter will not be Emulated, and instead they're treated to the theme song for the GB Hunter that repeats itself over and over again.
