GB-PVR is a Personal Video Recorder (PVR) software program for Microsoft Windows available free of charge that allows a computer's TV tuner card to be used to record and pause live TV, much like a PVR box such as TiVo. It can also be used to play music, watch DVD's, view pictures, and listen to FM and Internet Radio. The software also includes a YouTube interface.

The software is very stable and complete, even though at the time of this writing it is still a 0.9x version. Multiple tuners are supported and the Hauppauge Media MVP is supported as a networked client. Only tuner cards that use a hardware encoder are supported. These include:

Hauppauge PVR250, PVR250MCE, PVR350, PVR USB2, PVR150, PVR150MCE and PVR500MCE, Leadtek WinFast DTV1000 and DTV2000, ATI Theatre 550 Pro, Dvico Fusion5 ATSC, DVB-T and DVB-S devices with BDA drivers, and GO7007SB based capture devices, such as Plextor PX-M402U, Plextor PX-TV402U and Lifeview TV Walker.

The program is highly customizable and skinnable. Several skins are available premade, and you can make your own.

There is a very active development community that has produced a wealth of plug-ins to expand the feature set of the software, but the application itself is not open source.
