[edit] AFD

I've nominated the article Brutal Youth for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Brutal Youth satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brutal Youth. Don't forget to add four tildes (˜˜˜˜) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of Brutal Youth during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. --Dp462090|Talk |Contrib| 21:46, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I deleted the page you recreated about your band. Please do not recreate deleted content. Friday (talk) 21:34, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Do not recreate deleted content

Hello, I see that you're ignoring people who've asked you to not recreate deleted content. Please, don't do that. Wikipedia is not a place to promote bands. This article was deleted months ago via Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brutal Youth. If this band actually has real media coverage, it's possible we could have an article on it, but unless you can demonstrate some significance of this band, it'll just keep getting deleted. Friday (talk) 23:30, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

In fact, you did not forget to save the page- it was deleted on purpose. Please reply here and let me know if you're seeing the messages people are leaving you. Friday (talk) 00:08, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Copy of Band photo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Copy of Band photo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] License tagging for Image:Paul Allender.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Paul Allender.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:06, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Paul Allender.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Paul Allender.JPG. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BrownCow • (how now?) 18:25, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Joey-jordison-sm.jpg listed for deletion

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:Joey-jordison-sm.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it, but use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. --RobthTalk 22:55, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
  • The same applies to some other images you have uploaded today. --RobthTalk 22:55, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
    • Please do not reupload images that have been deleted for copyright issues (particularly since, in the case of the Joey Jordison image, the image appears to be taken from a commercial source). If you continue, you will be blocked. --RobthTalk 23:00, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Murderdolls.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Murderdolls.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ----RobthTalk 23:06, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
