Gazipur Sadar is located at 24.0000° N 90.4250° E . It has 116163 units of house hold and total area 446.38 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^GRBangladeh, Gazipur Sadar has a population of 588492. Males constitute are 53.83% of the population, and females 46.17%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 322434.
