Gavrok Spider

The Gavrok Spiders are a race of fictional monsters in the US Television series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, appearing only once in the Season 3 episode, Choices.

Though probably not considered Demons, the monsters contained within the Box of Gavrok are most certainly vicious and evil. The spiders themselves are savage insect-like creatures and the box reportedly contains billions of them. As part of his Ascension, the Mayor had to eat several of the spiders, but the box was stolen by Buffy Anne Summers and the Scooby Gang before he could do that. But when Faith and Mayor Mayor Richard Wilkins III took Willow Rosenberg captive, the gang had to trade the box in exchange for her freedom. Some of the spiders escaped during the exchange and one attacked a Police officer and literally tore his face off. It was then subsequently crushed by and the other was stabbed by Faith. How many the Mayor ate and the whereabouts of the box are still a mystery.
