Gaunt's Earthcott
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gaunt's Earthcott is a village in South Gloucestershire, England. Earthcott is located approxomately 2.5 miles from Rudgeway and the A38 road. There is no real industry in such, the only two examples of this could be an agricultural shop known as "Pinkers" which sells feed, boots and other essentials for life in the countryside. "Pinkers" is actually located in Latteridge, just off the B4059, which is about 1.5 miles from Earthcott (see below). The other business in the area is farming - and there are at least two farms that milk cows - the Largest being owned by Chris Pearce which comprises around 300 cows.
"Gaunt's Earthcott" and "Earthcott" are in fact separate places, a couple of miles apart. Earthcott is located on the B4059 road between the A38 and Yate. There are no shops, services or businesses in Earthcott, apart from farming, and the Cemetery (see below). Earthcott does have a postbox.
Located in Earthcott on "Earthcott Road" there is also a cemetery and crematorium, this opened in 2003 and is known as "Bristol memorial woodland", there are facilities on site that also allow for services to be held.
