Gates of Zendocon is another release by Epyx (1989) for the Atari Lynx which was highly rated. This game was an action platform scrolling shooter where by you controlled a space ship across 51 levels known as universes. During gameplay there where a number of little alien type allies to help you and protect your ship. The style of the game had a very organic feel and the foe was tremendous in number. There was even a bonus level hidden inside the game where you could destroy the faces of the creators to earn very high scores.
