Gat Murdah (born Jamel Taylor, 1981) is an American rapper.

He was born and currently lives in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.

In 2003, he was signed to THA ZOO Records, an independent label out Connecticut. He is being produced by label owners P-Taylor and von Gootkin, who have worked with Latavia Roberson formerly of Destiny's Child as well as R&B group Jagged Edge. The majority of his beats featured on releases have been produced by label mate producer, The Specialist (producer).

Since signing, he has appeared on multiple underground mix tapes released throughout Brooklyn and Connecticut, and also starred in the independent film, "Dungeons and Dogs". He has also opened and performed with many artists in the industry, including Memphis Bleek, Sean Paul, Jurassic 5, and Method Man. In 2004 he headlined Hartford's First Hip Hop Festival.

In July of 2006 he was featured alongside Lumidee on a mixtape released by DJ Finch, the self proclaimed upstate New York mixtape champ. A mixtape titled "Bedstuy Iz Back", featuring himself and other Brooklyn rappers, was released in October of 2006. In January 2007, he was a finalist in rapper The Game's MC Freestyle competition.

Gat Murdah is currently is working on his first nationally released album, which is expected to drop sometime in 2007-08.
