Gasselte

The town centre (dark green) and the statistical district (light green) of Gasselte in the municipality of Aa en Hunze.

Gasselte (52°58′N 6°48′E) is a town in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Aa en Hunze, and lies about 16 km east of Assen.

Gasselte was a separate municipality until 1998, when it became a part of Aa en Hunze.[1]

In 2001, the town of Gasselte had 1081 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.49 km², and contained 513 residences.[2] The statistical area "Gasselte", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1640.[3]
