Gaspard (.hack)

Gaspard is a half-beast Shadow Warlock Haseo meets in .hack//G.U. Vol 1: Rebirth. Almost right after he was Data Drained by Azure Kite, known as Tri-Edge by players, Haseo sees Ovan and the player of the game is prompted to chase after him in Mac Anu. While looking for Ovan, he sees the three PKers he defeated when he still was LVL 133. Since he is LVL 1 now, he hides and slips away unnoticed. It was then when Gaspard bumped into Haseo with Silabus chasing after him. From Haseo's point of view, Gaspard would be annoying, stupid, and clumsy. However, many people took a liking towards Gaspard as he is one of the happiest and light-hearted character in the game.

Gaspard's personality is portrayed greatly when members of Kestrel guild threatened and taunted Gaspard about Canard guild, his own guild in which Haseo is the guild master to, so that no one would buy merchandise from their shop. Gaspard is sensitive and seems to rely on Haseo a lot. Gaspard and Silabus, the only members of Canard before Haseo joined, are close buddies and dedicate themselves to help other noobies in the game.

When Haseo was in need of a third member for the battle arena, Gaspard refused the proposal. Gaspard is the type of person who enjoys peace and happy interactions with other player rather than raise arms against another. This leads Haseo to get Atoli to join him in the arena. While Haseo formed his arena party; Haseo, Silabus, Atoli; Gaspard would usually cheer for him in the audience.
