[edit] problems with POV and fancruft

He was the original guitarist for Reo Speedwagon and wrote many of their first songs like ridin the storm. He is one of the only musicians to come out of Peoria Illinois. He is a member of the great band Reo Speedwagon that is enough to be on here. This is just the start of this page I don't have the time to ad all the contributions. whats wrong with you dude, you need to lose your power as an administrator your just deleting anything. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Denver944

If there is something to say about him other than what is written here now, he may well merit his own article. I have fixed up the stub a bit, but more does need to be added or else this article would be a ripe candidate to just be redirected to the band article. We'll see how it goes over the next week or more. Erechtheus 08:59, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Working on putting works cited, but not sure how to do this yet.

Working on putting an embedded photo instead of a link.

currently reading his Biography plan to add more and cite sources when I know how.

Not sure what the comment about remove crufts meant? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:64.149.153.32

Cruft is unencyclopedic fan-rave content, often POV, such as "to get a good idea of his playing style, check out his solo guitar track from Live - You Get What You Play For" and "Gary left REO in 1990, and will be sorely missed by everyone who'd come to love his original and innovative style." Yeah I can see why cruft should not be on here : I like Wikipedia cause its an encyclopedia not a gossip magazine. Sometimes its hard to decypher the difference, but I know what you mean. I will try to keep that in mind while editing. I do have a Bachelors Degree, so I do have a little writing experience, but its been awhile.
