"The Maxwells of Baillieston and Garrowhill House" - That statement really suggests a lack of detailed knowledge. I wonder if the mystery author of the article [which I can't be bothered amending anymore because to do so with the truth would be to give away free valuable research effort - and that is not going to happen anymore ....]knows exactly when the building of the garden estate commenced? the first two completed houses? I wonder if he/she knows the origin of the name? Who built the old Georgian house? What the old names of the farms were ? It takes time and effort to find out such .............

From Smur

The contributor does not seem to be aware of the boundaries of historical lands of Baillieston and doesn't seem to be aware that there wasn't a census taken in 2004. However there was one taken in 2001.

You cannot beat a good old bit of modesty. Anyway it's all Greek to me. Smur ( whatever that means ) you can edit it to your hearts content, but lets get one point straight you aint exactly spot-on either.

From Smur

The 'modesty' comes from knowledge my friend and you should get the point straight because I know what I'm talking about, I've done the research, the hard work. Unlike others I do not make it up. And if you don't know the name, you don't know anything old son.
