[edit] Skindancer Totem
Removed Totem entry, since I didn't find a reference to Minotaur acting as tribal Totem to them. If the information would be given with a source, that would be great. In this cast the information should be added to the Skindancer write-up to. Heinrich k 11:00, 21 February 2007 (UTC) Minotaur's not a tribal totem, as the Skindancers aren't a tribe. He's just one that likes them and that they like, according to the Player's Guide to the Garou. Good call, though. Dante665
[edit] Infoboxes
Can anyone tell me, how to move the headlines of one tribe to the end of the Textbox of the tribe before ? Heinrich k 14:10, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Help
I was the one who made the original miniarticles on Stagazers, Bunyip and Croatans, if you give me a few days I may expand those sections then, into this article now if we are finally merging all the tribes into one article. Anyway, I do not agree on erasing the Garou Nation article but on MERGING it with this one Elegarth 04:23, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
- This article was started as a copy of the Garou Nation Article, but was reorganised to feature all tribes in the game world. No information was lost, when Garou Nation was set to REDIRECT. Heinrich k 12:06, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Black Spiral Dancer Totem
Someone added 'Whipporwhil'. But i can't find a reverence that this Totem is the tribal totem of the tibe. As i see it, it's one of many pack totems a dancer can have. The tribe has no tribal totem. Heinrich k 21:13, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
Respectfully, Whipporwhil is correct. If it's not listed in the second edition Book of the Wyrm, it's in the first (although I grant you the formal announcement's not terribly clear). I don't have my BotW in front of me at present, but I seem to remember it being in Whipporwhil's description.
For the record, Werewolf cannon has stated that all tribes must, of necessity, have tribal totems; the having of a totem is what makes a tribe a tribe. This is why, regardless of breeding, there are no White Howlers left, and also why the Siberakh are not truly a tribe. -Dante 08:09, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
- While it is true, that all gaian tribes need a tribal totem, it's not clear if the BSD arn't a exeption to this rule. I never read the section in any book. It would be much appreciated, if you could add a reference (book and page) to the site, because, this might be a not so well-known fact. Heinrich k 08:25, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
Consider it done! I'll find it if I have to beat the bushes from here to Stone Mountain. Apologies if it takes a little while, though, I wind up editing on my free time at work (of which I have very little). I'm currently running a game, so it's not like I don't look at Werewolf books quite a bit. I'll find the citation for Whippoorwill and for the "all tribes must have a totem" assertion.
Be well! -Dante
Werewolf: The Apocalypse Revised (WW3801) p. 273 paragraph two: "The Dancers revere Whippoorwill as their tribal totem, whose mad call they howl during their hunts."
Werewolf Storyteller's Handbook (WW3804) pp. 22-23 under heading Setting: "Can't I play a White Howler/male homid or lupus Black Fury/homid Red Talon by having an accident of birth or genetic quirk? No, because that's not the way tribes work. Tribe is a matter of adoption more than genetics; a male homid Garou who's born to a Black Fury mother doesn't count as a Black Fury from birth. He's simply Garou, in effect tribeless, until he undergoes his Rite of Passage and is accepted into a tribe. [....] As for White Howlers, they just aren't a tribe any more; there is no more tribal totem, so a White Howler Rite of Passage would automatically fail. You have to be initiated into a tribe to be a member; birth alone isn't enough."
Hope this helps! I'm not sure how to cite this stuff in the article proper, but if you know how, please do!

Could someone create all pictograms in a similar look, please ? 193.196.64.2 13:20, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Glass Walker Contra?
"Glass Walker contra Black Furies - Glass Walker use technology (some times for it's own sake), while Furies usually decline technology. "
This claim is wrong. The Glass Walker tribebook states that Walkers and Furies often have a easy-going relationship since both sides tend to protect their human allies. Granted Furies DO favor females and I doubt this is a source of friction. The current figurehead (for the lack of a better word) of Glass Walkers is a female for instance(Elizabeth Genereader). Are you sure you don't mean Red Talons who absolutely despise Glass Walkers due to Walkers favour of humans? -Russ
