Gary Wang is #891 on the 2007 Forbes list of the world's billionaires. He is the Chairman and CEO of the Eastern Multimedia Group of Taiwan. [1].

Wang was investigated for land fraud in 2000. [2] He has also been embroiled in controversy regarding his father, Wang You-Theng, a fugitive from justice for embezzling from his company, the Rebar Group. Gary Wang guaranteed loans for Rebar which creditors are now demanding be repayed. [3]

Recently Wang has drawn criticism for downplaying and defending the use of Taiwanese girls and women as comfort women during World War II. [4]
