Gary Timberlake
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gary Dale Timberlake (born August 9, 1948 in Laconia, Indiana) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. The left-hander was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 2nd round of the 1966 amateur draft, and later drafted by the Seattle Pilots from the Yankees as the 48th pick in the 1968 expansion draft. (October 15, 1968)
His major league career lasted about a week, starting two games for the expansion Pilots against the lowly Chicago White Sox in 1969. (June 18 and June 24) Timberlake gave up 16 baserunners (7 hits and 9 walks) and 5 earned runs in just 6 total innings. Neither start impressed Seattle management enough to keep him around, and he became a part of the revolving door the Pilots had between the big club and the minor leagues.
His career totals include a 0-1 record, 4 strikeouts, and an ERA of 7.50.
