Gary Tierney (born 19 March 1986, in Bellshill) is a professional football player currently playing for Airdrie United in the Scottish Football League.

Tierney signed for Airdrie after being given a free transfer by previous club Heart of Midlothian in July 2006. A promising left back or central defender, Tierney had been a regular for Hearts' U21 team and made one appearance in the 2005/06 season, in the Scottish League Cup win over Queens Park

He made his professional debut two years earlier, on the final day of the 2003/2004 season in Hearts' 3-2 defeat of Motherwell.
