Gary LeVox

Gary LeVox (born Gary Wayne Vernon, Jr. on July 10, 1970 in Columbus, Ohio) is the lead vocalist of American country pop trio Rascal Flatts. His second cousin, Jay DeMarcus, is also a member of the group.
Gary's first musical performance was at the age of nine, in a play at his church. Gary is an alumnus of Ohio State University. Prior to the formation of Rascal Flatts, he worked at the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation. Prompted by DeMarcus, LeVox moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1997.
On May 15, 1999, LeVox married his wife, Tara. They have two children.

- Although he does not play guitar in Rascal Flatts, Gary enjoys playing the acoustic guitar.
- Gary's stage name, "LeVox", is derived from the Latin word vox, which means "voice".
