Gary Gilley

Gary E. Gilley has pastored at Southern View Chapel in Springfield, Illinois, since 1975. Dr. Gilley is a strong proponent of expository preaching. Along with his preaching and teaching ministry, he is also the author and general editor of the monthly contemporary theological issues publication "Think on These Things". He has authored several books including, "I Just Wanted More Land"--Jabez, This Little Church Went to Market and This Little Church Stayed Home. [1]
In addition to speaking at various conferences throughout the United States and overseas, Dr. Gilley also serves on the board of the Brazil Gospel Fellowship Mission and the board of Personal Freedom Outreach.
Dr. Gilley is known for his discernment articles critiquing errors in the modern church including the Emerging Church Movement. He received his B.A. from Moody Bible Institute and his M.B.S. and Th.D. from Cambridge Graduate School (USA). He and his wife Marsha have two adult children, Ben and Brian, and three grandchildren.
