Gary Alexander (baseball)

Gary Wayne Alexander (born March 27, 1953 in Los Angeles, California) is a former backup catcher in Major League Baseball who played for the San Francisco Giants (1975-1977), Oakland Athletics (1978[start]), Cleveland Indians (1978[end]-1980) and Pittsburgh Pirates (1981). He batted and threw right handed.

In a seven-season career, Alexander posted a .230 batting average with 55 home runs and 202 RBI in 432 games played.
