Garth Butcher

Garth Butcher (born on January 8, 1963 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada) is a retired professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the National Hockey League for fourteen seasons from 1981-82 until 1994-95.
Butcher was drafted 10th overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. He played in 897 career NHL games, scoring 48 goals and 158 assists for 206 points, as well as adding 2302 penalty minutes. Butcher played for the Canucks, St. Louis Blues, Quebec Nordiques, and the Toronto Maple Leafs in his NHL career.
His son Matt Butcher is a prospect of the Vancouver Canucks.
