Garrison Cadet College Kohat, is a boarding school, situated in Kohat, Pakistan. It is not to be confused with Cadet College, Kohat.

The college was conceived by Lt. Gen Muhammad Arif Bangash, the then GOC(General Officer Commanding), 9 Division. It was established as Kohat Garrison College. Land was provided by the Army. Foundation stone of the college was laid on March 1, 1990 by the then Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. On Completion of basic infrastructure, classes were statrted in 1993. Lt. Gen Muhammad Arif Bangash formally inaugurated college on May 10, 1993. First Principal was Col. Idrees Niazi (Retd) who remained in college from September 1992 to December 1995. Brig Talat Imtiaz Naqvi (Retd) was second Principal from December 1995 to December 2001. Brig. Tariq Saeed (Retd) is third Principal of the college since March 25,2002.

Garrison Cadet College, Kohat, is located on Dhoda Road in picturesque natural surroundings. There are lush green fields all around the college. The magnificent hills of Kohat and Orakzai, visible from the college in various directions, and grace to the college environment. The college is situated in vicinity of Kohat Garrison Golf club and Dhoda Park, presenting an attractive and elegant complex. The surroundings of the college campus are noiseless and are free from all kinds of atmospheric pollution. Thus Garrison Cadet College, Kohat, offers clean, healthy and invigorating environment to the cadets; most conductive for studies and physical fitness training.

Garrison Cadet College, Kohat, has been established by HQ 9 Division, Kohat. The College is under the control and management of a Board of Governors, headed by General Officer Commanding 9 Division. Tenure of each member is three years. The present management is as follows :-

Other Expenses

·        Extra messing.
·        Text books and stationery.
·        Traveling expenses.
·        CMH charges, in case of non-entitled patients.
·        College Magazine (Rs. 250/- per annum)
·        Medical check-up fee of specialist and tests.


Payment of Dues

Fee dues are payable on or before 1st April, 1st August and 1st December each year for 1st , 2nd and 3rd terms respectively. Students must clear their accounts before taking college / board examinations or college leaving certificate.


Payment Procedure

All dues are remitted in the name of “Principal Garrison Cadet College, Kohat. Dues should preferably be remitted through Bank Drafts or in cash. Cheques will not be accepted. Bank drafts should be sent to the Principal by designation and not by name, and marked PAYEES A/C only. If dues are not paid with in 15 days of the laid down dates, a fine of Rs. 10.00 per day will be imposed for three months. Thereafter, the student’s name will be struck off the college rolls.
