Garmeil (ガーメイル Gāmeiru?, Garmeil in original Japanese language versions) are one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media, created by Satoshi Tajiri. Garmeil is famous for being one of the Pokémon revealed before the Japanese release of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. The purpose of Garmeil in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]
The name Garmeil is derived from the Japanese word for moth (蛾 ga?) and the English word male.

Biological characteristics
Garmeil is based on an adult male bagworm, which exhibits similar sexual dimorphism. It has four tan-colored wings, two large and two small, with brown circles adorning them. The wings split to three at the tip of the larger wings and splits in two at the tips of the smaller wings. Garmeil has a grey head, with two red and white antennae above its head. Garmeil's body and legs are grey as well. It also has a small grey tail that splits into two.
Unlike the sedentary Minomutchi and Minomadam, Garmeil never really stay in one spot for too long. It is continuously flying across the countryside in search of it's favorite food: honey, which it steals from Mitsuhoney, and possibly to mate with stationary Minomadam.
In the video games
Garmeil is the evolved form of male Minomutchi. Female Minomutchi instead evolve into Minomadam.
Statistically, Garmeil is similar to Butterfree and Beautifly, but is unusual among Bug/Flying types due to its high Attack stat. Garmeil's Attack and Special Attack are its best stats. Garmeil is lacking in both Defense and Special Defense.
For most players, Garmeil's potential is limited. It learns a wide variety of moves, but it has a poor mix of types that leaves it vulnerable to several elements. In addition to these flaws, Garmeil has fairly low attributes on the whole; aside from its Attack stats, Garmeil is slow, and its poor Defenses and HP leave it very susceptible to attacks from faster, deadlier Pokémon.
